Below are the photos and the video I created for Olivia Wong — a collaboration born by chance, yet full of unexpected connections.

I first heard about Olivia through a dear friend and colleague, who told me that an established designer was looking for an unconventional photographer and video-maker in Milan. Only later did we realize that Olivia was also the maid of honor at a wedding I had worked on. Sometimes Milan feels much smaller than one might think.

We created this video portrait during the 2019 Salone del Mobile. In between filming, we also took the opportunity to capture a few still images.

The Salone del Mobile is undoubtedly the most anticipated design event in the world. It usually takes place in April, and during those days, Milan transforms entirely: the city overflows with creativity, energy, and inspiration. The most prominent brands host stunning installations and exclusive events, often in locations that are usually closed to the public.

My favorite discovery? Palazzo Serbelloni. Walking through its grand halls feels like being transported to Paris — timeless elegance and a dreamlike atmosphere.
